Fr. Larry Ford, O.F.M.

Fr. Larry Ford photoFr. Larry Ford, O.F.M. joined the Franciscans in 1988, a year after graduating from LeMoyne College. After professing simple vows in 1991, Fr. Larry began his theological and ministerial education at the Washington Theological Union. Concurrent with his Theological study, he began a Master of Science in at the University of Notre Dame.

The combination of these two academic tracks brought Fr. Larry to Siena for the first time in 1994, when he was an intern in the Office of Finance and Administration and lived in Ryan Hall. 1996 was a big year for him as he was graduated from the W.T.U. and ordained as a priest in May and then completed his studies at Notre Dame in August. 

After Notre Dame, Fr. Larry was assigned as Business Manager at St. Anthony Shrine where he celebrated mass and heard confessions while attending to the business and operations of Boston’s downtown Shrine Church. In 1998, Fr. Larry began his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration in the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. After working at BC and then returning to work for a year at Notre Dame, Fr. Larry moved to Washington, DC for some independent research.

Fr. Larry returned to Siena in 2004 to work on his dissertation. He was a regular celebrant of masses in the chapel and the Sunday night Townhouse mass.

Fr. Larry now lives and works at Holy Name of Jesus parish in New York City.
