Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs - Administration
Siena College is accepting applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) – Administration. Reporting directly to the Vice President, the primary responsibility of the Assistant to the VPAA - Administration will be to provide administrative support to faculty members who serve as Directors of various academic programs. This position is also responsible for developing and overseeing the operating and capital budgets of all Academic Affairs reporting units, and providing budget support as needed. The Assistant to the VPAA - Administration will also be responsible for monitoring and documenting progress in accomplishing initiatives incorporated in the current Strategic Plan and serve as the Academic Affairs webmaster.
A successful candidate should be a “take charge” individual with excellent written and oral communication skills; word processing, database, and website design; and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals including students, faculty, staff and administrators. A bachelor’s degree is required for this postion. Understanding of budgeting and accounting practices, ability to utilize a content management system to create and maintain Web content, and good interpersonal and writing skills are essential.
