Inventory and Equipment Repair Technician
The Office of Facilities Management at Siena College is accepting applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Inventory and Equipment Repair Technician. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Inventory and Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for the repair of small equipment and tools, managing inventory control and delivering custodial chemicals and supplies. Other responsibilities include the distribution of keys, tools, fasteners and personal protection equipment to all Facilities personnel; assisting with the operations of the Stock and Tool Room by providing support to the Maintenance and Mechanical trades, Grounds, Custodial, Events and Moves and Garage Departments; providing support to the Shipping and Reprographic Assistant by assisting with UPS and Fed-Ex shipping and receiving and other Reprographic tasks including print shop order deliveries to campus customers. This position will also be cross trained to create Braille signs, logos, brass plates and dorm and office signs in several different materials.
A high school diploma, associates’ degree preferred, and at least one year of relevant experience are required. Good oral and written communication skills, experience with MS Office software and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks are also required. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and must maintain such license throughout the tenure of employment.
