Senior Groundskeeper - Turf-grass Specialist
Siena College is accepting applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Senior Groundskeeper – Turf-grass Specialist. Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor, the Senior Groundskeeper position is an essential position, maintaining the campus grounds and landscape to the highest industry standards. This position ensures that assigned areas are safe and attractive; ensures that all work requests are fulfilled in a safe and timely manner, & operates a variety of equipment in all weather conditions. Additionally, this position provides a high level of in-house expertise in one of several key grounds maintenance areas. This position includes the responsibility to lead one or more staff members on a regular basis; providing oversight and leadership for assigned tasks.
Requirements: A high school diploma and at least years of relevant experience are required for this postion. The ability to work with a large number of staff, students, faculty and visitors is essential. All Groundskeepers and Grounds Department employees are expected to respond during periods of inclement weather and/or campus emergencies and must be willing to work overtime/flexible work shifts. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and must maintain such license throughout the tenure of employment.
