The Sister Agnes Rose Burton, CSJ '51 History and Political Science Scholarship in Memory of Nicholas and Mary Stah was established by Jennifer Stah to honor Sr. Agnes Rose Burton's legacy and the mark she left on The College of St. Rose and the community. Sr. Agnes had been a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Carondelet for 66 years. For 31 years, Sr. Agnes served at The College of Saint Rose as coordinator for internships in state and local governments, instructor in history, associate professor in political science and vice president of the Alumni Association. Sr. was beloved by her students and served as a role model and mentor to many. The scholarship will be awarded to one student majoring in history and/or political science or minoring in international studies with demonstrated financial need.
