Hickey Field is the College’s only turf field. It currently supports four Division I teams, club sports, and intramural programs. The competition for access creates logistical headaches and leads to 6:00 a.m. field time and truncated practices. A new turf field venue – which would become the new home for Siena lacrosse – would include fixed seating, a stunning entranceway, and a plaza area with restrooms and paved walkways between fields. The new field would eliminate the burden caused by one field, which presently puts our Division I teams at a competitive disadvantage and impacts the overall experience for all Saints participating in club sports and intramurals.
