NYSSCPA Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP), it is a FREE program to introduce high school students to accounting and finance careers. It will be held at Siena College on July 8-9.

The program provides real insight into how CPAs influence the business world. The program is an important component of the New York State Society of CPAs' (NYSSCPA) efforts to recruit an increased number of students into the accounting profession, with a particular focus on those from underrepresented groups.

Students will meet successful business leaders and get need-to-know college tips. COAP students explore what you can do in the accounting field. Plot your future as a chief financial officer, forensics investigator, data analyst, cyber security consultant, entertainment and sports agent, auditor or entrepreneur.

When students apply, they will need to note the location of the program for which they are applying as Siena College.

Be aware of the deadline (July 1st) and note the need for a high school guidance counselor and parental approval.
