Siena College kicked off their annual Constitution Day on September 21 posing a big question, “Religious Liberty: Fundamental Right or a Nuisance?” This year’s keynote speaker was the renowned Vincent M. Bonventre, J.D., Ph.D.

Michael Yodice, Nicole Mundackal, Megan Hodson, Kevin Flatley, Priyanka Kolli, Esha Jain and Demiana Azmy spent their summers in the footsteps of recently declared saint, Saint Teresa of Calcutta. The seven Saints traveled to Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta), India to volunteer with Missionaries of Charity, founded by Saint Teresa, as part of Siena’s Albany Medical College Program.

Siena College ranks 79th nationally and tops in New York state in the just-released 2017 Educate to Career (ETC) College Rankings Index. The ranking placed Siena as a 2017 Top-100 Best Value College from the nonprofit organization which focuses on students improving their college-to-career outcomes.

Alyx Gleason ’17 had quite the busy summer. The day after she and her team of e-NABLE students presented nine-year old Karissa Mitchell with a Frozen-themed prosthetic arm, Gleason was boarding a plane for England.

Siena College and The Eddy have established a new joint program offering full-tuition scholarships to registered nurses interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing and working in the increasingly important field of population health.
