Siena Names “2016 Entrepreneur of the Year”

Siena College's David ’73 and Christine Spicer ’75 Stack Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship named Judy Capano-Michaelson, a 1987 Siena graduate, as its 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year.

On Friday, April 15th Siena’s Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) held an Alumni Speaker Series and Networking Event on campus. Eight successful HEOP graduates from various class years returned to campus to provide tips and career planning advice to a group of current Siena HEOP students.

Five Siena Athletics Teams Receive NCAA Public Recognition Awards

Five Siena College athletic programs have been honored by the NCAA with Public Recognition Awards for achieving Academic Progress Rates (APR) in the top-10 percent of their respective sports nationally at the Division I level. Both Siena Tennis programs along with women’s swimming and diving, volleyball and water polo earned recognition for their achievements in the classroom.

Soldier to Student Panel Provides Insight into the Transition Process for Veterans

Students from the “Exploring Multiculturalism, Diversity, and Human Rights” First Year Seminar class organized “From Soldier to Student,” a panel discussion about the return of veterans to higher education, on Monday, April 11, in the Key Auditorium of Roger Bacon Hall. The goal of the event was to obtain a greater understanding of the strengths and challenges veterans and student-veterans face when returning back to college campuses after being deployed in war.
