George Maloney ’54 Awarded St. Bernardine of Siena Medal

On October 1 Siena College honored Trustee Emeritus George Maloney ’54 with the St. Bernardine of Siena Medal at a Board of Trustees meeting. Maloney has been part of the Siena community for over 65 years, serving on the Board for 16 years.

History Department Publishes Textbook through Oxford University Press

Siena History Professor Wendy Pojmann, Ph.D., Department Chair Karen Ward Mahar, Ph.D., and former Associate Professor Barbara Reeves-Ellington, Ph.D., published their textbook Doing History: An Introduction to the Historian’s Craft, through Oxford University Press. The textbook is aimed at preparing students for a Capstone course, and includes workbook activities that allow students to properly locate primary sources in the library, properly citing sources, and more.
