Siena’s class of 2016 reunited once again for its 100 Days After Graduation Party at the historic Saratoga Race Course on July 30. Well over 200 members of the class traveled to the event to catch up, reminisce and watch the horse races.

“The turnout was great, the class of 2016 seemed to take over the track,” said Kate Bender ’16. “It was amazing to see everyone and hear what they have been up to this summer!”

Although this event is a reunion for the most recent graduates, other alumni also use the day as a time to get together with fellow classmates. Approximately 40 members of the class of 2012 headed to Saratoga to catch up.

“Graduation hits us all pretty hard, knowing that this event will reunite all of us means a lot,” said Bender. “With September just around the corner and students heading back to Siena, it was the perfect way to feel the Siena vibe without going back to campus.”

As their parting gift to the College, the 2016 Senior Gift Campaign raised $13,000 to fund a portion of the Ring of Honor Project to recognize $1M+ donors to Siena. This project is currently being installed and will be located in the center of the Academic Quad. The Senior Class Gift committee members believed this gift could serve as an opportunity to thank Siena’s greatest supporters for their generosity, both past and present.

"It's a really fun day for the new graduates. Most of them haven't seen each other since graduation; and this is probably the last time we'll have this many members of the class of 2016 together ever again," said Jake Hill ’09, associate director of alumni relations. This special day at the races is organized by the Office of Alumni Relations.
