Siena’s pre-law program has a history of graduating students who are prepared to excel in law school and enjoy a lifetime of success in the legal profession. The class of 2016 continues that tradition with 17 students receiving major scholarships to attend some of the top law schools in the country.
"Our pre-law graduating scholarship recipients, 10 of whom were Summer Legal Fellows, represent a rich and diverse group of academically excellent students who have prepared effectively for their law school education and who will succeed as they go forward to their schools of choice in the fall,” Len Cutler, Ph.D., pre-law advisor and professor of political science at Siena said. “I am confident each will be a welcome addition to the legal profession upon completion of their law degree.”
Saints get a jump start on the competition with immersive, high-impact learning. The Summer Legal Fellows program offers the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of a law school professor while undertaking original legal research with second and third year law students. The 4/3 admission programs with Albany Law School, Pace University School of Law, and Western New England School of Law are an added bonus for qualified Siena students.
Saints also have access to a distinguished Jurist in Residence, a robust mentoring network of more than 150 alumni who are actively practicing law, first rate facilities including The Hon. James P. King Moot Court where members of the Mock Trial Team can hone their skills, and detailed advising to ensure the necessary requirements are met for Law School admittance.
