Academics, Alumni, Siena in the News

Caitlyn Gerardi '19 and Jillian Madocs '19

On September 22, 1937, Siena College opened its doors for the first time.

At that time, it may have been an operation run entirely out of a farmhouse by a few friars, but now, eighty years later, it has become an integral part of the Capital Region community.

Throughout the last 80 years, Siena College has equipped thousands of students with the tools necessary to take an active and meaningful part in the world. Every day our Saints are making a difference, whether it be in an office, classroom, hospital, or even halfway across the world.

The Siena community will celebrate this milestone not only on September 22, but throughout the entire academic year.

So please join us in taking a look back at milestones in Siena's history and wishing Siena a happy birthday.

We will always remember how it all started with the hopes of a few friars.
