Campus Events, Student Life

There are more than 700 commuter students at Siena College, and the organization aimed at keeping them connected to each other and to our campus is hosting three days of events for Commuter Appreciation Week September 20-22.

“Students commute rather than live on campus for a number of reasons,” said Claire Poole ’19 of Bethlehem, press secretary for Siena’s Commuter Student Association (CSA). “It can be to save money, for health issues, or because they are homebodies by nature. Whatever the reason, we want all commuters to feel they are truly part of campus life here and to know that they have a voice.”

The CSA holds weekly meetings open to all commuter students most Fridays during free period:
9/29- Siena Hall 117, 23448
10/6-11/24 - SSU Molinari Room, 19931

The group’s president is Mai-Linh Le ’19 of Glenville. The CSA is fully represented in Siena’s Student Government, and also has a lounge on the main floor of the SSU especially for commuters.
