The Siena College Career Education and Professional Development (CEPD) Office is committed to providing Siena students the tools necessary to successfully enter the professional world. CEPD mentors Saints from day one, preparing them for jobs, internships and eventually, careers.

Through daily one-on-one consultations, online resources and special skills events, CEPD helps students understand their values, interests and goals throughout their four years and beyond.

CEPD’s annual Dress for Success sale and fashion show are a partnership between Siena’s business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, CEPD and the international not-for-profit Dress for Success organization. This year, Macy’s of Colonie Center also partnered with the event through giveaways and merchandizing.

"It is truly an honor to assist Dress for Success in their quest to help the poor and marginalized female population of the Capital District,” said Debra DelBelso, director of the Career Education and Professional Development office. “Our annual sale has grown each year and we hope it will continue to grow in the future. We are grateful for the partnership with both Macy's and Best Cleaners which transported the clothing from the DFS boutique to Siena College. We highly value our collaboration with Dress for Success and look forward to many more successful clothing sales."

The Dress for Success clothing sale provides an opportunity for Siena students and local community members to find professional clothing at reduced prices. The fashion show includes students, faculty, staff and administrators wearing professional and nonprofessional business attire, adding humor to important career advice.

“Siena College, it’s mission, faculty, staff and students are truly generous in their support of the community and programs that help support those who may need a hand in life,” said Jennifer Stoner, Program Coordinator of the Dress for Success Albany Program. “By helping our Dress for Success Albany program, Siena is helping to empower local low income women achieve economic independence through a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help them thrive in work and life. 100% of the proceeds raised through the sale at Siena College will directly benefit the Dress for Success Albany program."
