Greg Pautler '04's company, Pure Adapt Inc., was recently named as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in America by Inc 5000.

Pure Adapt Inc. owns and operates the website DetailedImage.com, an online store selling high quality care care products to customers across the country. Pautler says that his company is very focused on offering the best detailing products combined with a great shopping experience and personalized customer service. They assist and educate their clients through a blog titled Ask A Professional Detailer as well as a thorough Detailing Guide and Detailing Dictionary.

Pautler decided to pursue launching his own business after Gil Brookins, Ph.D., associate professor of marketing, described key characteristics of successful entrepreneurs in class one day.

"In that moment I became certain that I wanted to be an entrepreneur, I just wasn't sure how or in what way," said Pautler. "His teaching helped outline more about the process of owning a business, which was scary at times, but it was necessary to understand the challenges I would soon face when I started the business just after graduation."

He also credits his Siena education for many of the skills he uses every day to make his business successful.

"While occasionally I have to make big decisions critical to our future, more commonly I'm making lots of small decisions that cumulatively have a big impact on our business," he said. "Knowing how much time to allocate to each decision and finding the right resources to help make that decision is a critical skill set that Siena helped me develop."

Pautler's company is a part of the College's Maddalone Entrepreneur Wall of Success, which highlights Siena's successful entrepreneurs in the Stack Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

"When I was at Siena there was only one entrepreneurship class, so I'm thrilled to see more entrepreneurship classes at Siena for business majors and non-business majors," said Pautler. "I'm also incredibly proud of the Stack Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and would highly recommend anyone with a passion for starting their own business or developing a new product to visit."
