1. My degree at Siena is actually in religious studies with a minor in Spanish. I was one of four religious studies majors in 2010. I have never taken any classes in computer science. The fundamentals from my Siena liberal arts education are a strong base for my career in ITS.
  2. I’m a licensed wedding officiant and have officiated five weddings.
  3. I was hired in ITS full time a month before I graduated from Siena. In my spring semester senior year, I was enrolled in two night classes and an independent study course, and I used my lunch period to take a Spanish class on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Needless to say, that was a very busy year for me.
  4. I’m not the only person in my family to attend Siena. My brother David is a class of ‘03 alum and his wife Jen is a class of ‘04 alum.
  5. I have a pet rabbit named Bleecker. He’s free roam around my apartment and litter trained. He loves kale and mint. A big thanks to Donna Bulnes in ITS for supplying fresh mint every summer and Catherine Snyder in Education for treating him to fresh kale from her garden. I’d like to think Bleecker is the best bunny ever.
  6. I’ve always had a passion for technology. I’m a big gamer, both console and PC. I built my first computer when I was 12. It had a blazing fast Pentium III 550MHz processor, 256MB of RAM, a Voodoo 3 3000 video card, and it ran Windows 98. I’ve built a total of fifteen different computers between helping my friends with their builds and building some for myself.
  7. I’ve been driving a full electric vehicle (EV) since 2019. I am an EV enthusiast and am part of the Capital District EV Drivers group. You’ll often find my gray Hyundai Kona EV charging at the EV charging stations outside of Siena Hall.
  8. My father is a retired pastry chef. He was trained in France, Switzerland and Italy and worked for the Italian cruise line Costa Cruise traveling all over the world. When I was younger my parents ran a restaurant in my hometown of Hyde Park, NY for 20 years. I inherited very little of that cooking skill, but I have a few staple meals I can cook.
  9. In April 2023, I began a keto diet and started a training program with a personal trainer. To-date I have lost 147 lbs. I shocked my doctor at my last physical.
  10. I have a possibly borderline unhealthy obsession with rubber ducks. If you’ve ever been to the ITS offices, you’ll notice we have a bunch of rubber ducks everywhere. I have a couple of shelves in my office that are full of rubber ducks. During the holidays, I stage a rubber duck nativity scene.
