International Student Services

Siena College offers an exciting opportunity for international students to study in the United States in a supportive environment. Students gain academic perspective through close working relationships with faculty and fellow students on a beautiful campus where long-lasting friendships are made. It all takes place in a locale that includes a rich selection of cultural activities: theaters, concert arenas, art and history museums and more. Individual Advising

Siena College personalizes the experience of international students by offering the following services: 

  • On-site director and accessible staff

  • Airport pick-up

  • Immigration advising

  • Assistance with credit evaluation

  • Tutoring

  • On-campus housing

  • A separate first-year orientation geared for the international student

  • Career advising through campus Career Center

  • Assistance with setting up bank accounts

  • Social security applications

  •  Campus work positions

Integration into American Culture

The student-run International Student Association is composed of both international and U.S. students. Events are scheduled to help international students enjoy a full immersion experience with American culture include a welcome program upon arrival, a tour of Albany, a fall hayride, Thanksgiving dinner, bowling night, an international movie night, potluck supper and international student graduation events.

Financial Assistance

A small number of limited scholarships or grants may be available for academically qualified students.
